Fall is here

We are finally starting to cool off (even though we are supposed to be in the 90’s tomorrow) and planning our new plantings. We plan to add an additional two dozen pawpaw trees into our orchard, including grafted trees of Prima, Red Fern Special, Canopus and Regulus. We also plan to finish planting out our chestnut orchard with “Dr. Sandy” grafts and seedlings of Szego, Dr. Sandy and Steve Lucas R3E2. We are coming to completion on the chestnut-pawpaw orchard. In our front apple orchard we plan to add Goldrush and Frostbite. Along with these plantings we also have figs, jujubes, blueberries, Turkish hazelnuts and hickories to plant as well.

We updated our inventory list today and I encourage you to browse our website and place orders and plant this fall. Fall is our favorite time to plant in Zone 7 as we are fairly mild in the winter and our trees don’t frost heave over winter like they do up north. Our farm is growing exponentially, and we had a wonderful year selling trees as our revenue more than doubled! We thank all of our customers for supporting us and what we do. Our goal is to be largely self-sufficient, growing our own food sustainably and organically. We would like to share that commonality with you, providing you with high quality plant materials. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns!
