Sassafras
These are obtained from the western most source of sassafras I could find. I am always looking for further west sources of sassafras. The tree has one of the most spectacular shows of fall color, beautiful leaf shape and scent reminiscent of fruit loops and root beer. My favorite slogan is, “Sass, not Pistache!” I hope sassafras is planted more often in landscapes in central Oklahoma.
